I read Pamela's book and wouldn't say French moms are the Weed best mom ever shirt, hoodie, sweater and v-neck t-shirt. But, the French approach to raising a child through a focus on social interaction, free play, and the 'cadre' (frame)- which means you set some precise boundaries and let your kids do what they want within that frame- is pretty refreshing. I think it makes for a happier adult that is less focused on success/wealth and one focused on living life. The examples of American parents she contrasts with were spot on - and frankly, a little too close to home.
