It does contain lactose.. Some cow’s milk cheeses are considered lactose free (mostly the long time stored and hard ones).. but goat cheese… its not (at least none that I know of). Its all about the milk sugar. The processes it goes through chances it so that there’s less of it essentially.. liquid milk, Bacteria added (or even citric acid), time, pressed, time passes.. look below for clearer instructions :). No.. milk always contain lactose but it depends on the amount of lactose present in the milk. Goat milk do contain lactose to produce glucose eventually as the energy source. Goat milk is considered as the alternative for cow milk for those having lactose intolerance due to the amount of lactose present in it.
