My decision to not hug you is not a reflection on you, I hug people that way I know how big to dig the hole in my backyard shirt. but an indication of my past, present and culture. If a stranger asks me for a hug, that is how I would respond, again and again, no matter the context. This is my personal space and my opinions on physical contact are governed by my personal experiences and cultural teachings.
